Created in 2015 by JOÃO TOLEDO and LAILA PAS, FILMES SEM SAPATO is a brazilian independent film production company from São Paulo.

It is dedicated to the creation of independent and author-driven projects through national and international partnerships and collaborations. The company advocates for a diverse cinema that goes beyond commercial conventions, prioritizing originality, authenticity, and creative freedom.

Our films, including both short and feature-length works, have been showcased at major festivals in Brazil and internationally (such as Berlin, Rotterdam, Sitges, Gramado, and Tiradentes). Among our recent productions, we highlight the associate production with RT Features of "Isabel" (directed by Gabe Klinger and presented at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival – Berlinale), the production, alongside Perau, of the poetic documentary "Yoruba Drums" (directed by Pedro de Lacerda and currently in post-production), and the production, alongside Vento Leste, of the thriller "The Endless House" (directed by Victor Furtado and also in post-production). New projects are currently in development.
